CIR — every rule, in detail
Resonance, Fragments, pricing, the queue, protections, revenue distribution and the platform architecture — the complete reference. For the live dashboard (treasury, cycle countdown, current queue), go back to CIR.
Resonance is the door
Resonance is the off-chain engagement mechanism, verified in real time against Ethereum mainnet. It is the sole condition of access to CIR. Every circle In Resonance beyond the first lowers the price of every request, and active Resonance accumulates Fragments — the reward points that determine NFT distributions at Convergence.
Activation cost
Activating Resonance on a circle costs the current floor price, paid entirely to the community treasury. This is a one-time entry cost per activation — reactivating after Breaking Resonance costs the floor price again, at whatever it is at that moment. It's a deliberate commitment device: it discourages casually entering and leaving Resonance, and rewards holders who keep their circles engaged.
Price discount
Every circle In Resonance beyond the first reduces the price of all your CIR requests: −3% per additional circle, capped at −21%.
| CIRCLES IN RESONANCE | DISCOUNT |
|---|---|
| 1 | no discount |
| 2 | −3% |
| 3 | −6% |
| 4 | −9% |
| 5 | −12% |
| 6 | −15% |
| 7 | −18% |
| 8+ | −21% (maximum) |
How the discount applies
The discount is applied to the total price. The 63 / 37 split is then calculated on the discounted amount — the ratio never changes, only the base does. Creator and treasury absorb the discount proportionally.
Breaking Resonance
Consequences of Breaking Resonance on a circle
- Fragments earned by that circle are immediately destroyed
- Fragments from your other circles In Resonance are untouched
- Your discount is recalculated on your remaining circles In Resonance
- Vote eligibility is maintained as long as at least 1 circle remains In Resonance
What Resonance provides
- Access to CIR requests — without Resonance, no access is possible
- A price discount on every request
- Fragment accumulation (+3/day) for NFT reward eligibility
- Treasury vote eligibility after 37 days of continuous Resonance
Loyalty measured in Fragments
Fragments are non-transferable reward points, tracked per circle, that measure a holder's loyalty and contribution. They are not monetary payments. At the end of each 37-day cycle, if the community votes for Redistribution, Fragments determine which holders receive which NFT rewards. All Fragments reset to zero at the end of every cycle.
| SOURCE | RATE | CONDITION |
|---|---|---|
| Active Resonance | +3 Fragments / day | Circle must be In Resonance |
| CIR Job Bonus | +1 to +7 / day | While the job is in production (see pricing table) |
| Vote Participation | +7 Fragments (fixed) | Per community vote participated in |
NFT Rewards Distribution (Convergence)
During Convergence, if the community votes for Redistribution, the treasury uses its funds to purchase NFTs from an external collection chosen by community vote. This is a cultural redistribution — holders are rewarded with art, not ETH.
- The community votes on which external collection to acquire
- The treasury purchases pieces from that collection on the secondary market
- Acquired pieces are ranked by rarity or value
- Holders In Resonance are ranked by their total Fragment balance
- The rarest and most valuable pieces go to the holders with the highest Fragment counts
One total price, split 63 / 37
The holder pays one total price. 63% goes to the community treasury, 37% to the creator. Prices are indexed to the OpenSea floor at the time of the request, checked manually by the creator, and locked at request time. Each request type also earns the holder bonus Fragments per day while the job is in production.
Background options (color palette determined by the owner)
| OPTION | TOTAL PRICE | SLOTS | DELIVERY | FRAG. BONUS | NOTES |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Static background | 30% FP | 1 | 7 days max | +1/day | Owner palette |
| Static background custom | 60% FP | 2 | 10 days max | +2/day | Owner palette |
| Animated background | 60% FP | 2 | 10 days max | +3/day | Owner palette |
| Animated background custom | 120% FP | 4 | 14 days max | +4/day | Owner palette |
Circle options (color palette determined by the owner)
| OPTION | TOTAL PRICE | SLOTS | DELIVERY | FRAG. BONUS | NOTES |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Circle transformation | 100% FP | 4 | 14 days max | +5/day | Metadata update via Worker/KV |
| New random circle + BG | 200% FP | 4 | 14 days max | +6/day | New token 778+ |
| New custom circle + custom BG | 300% FP | 10 | 21 days max | +7/day | New token 778+ |
All percentages are expressed as a share of the OpenSea floor price at the time of the request. The Fragment bonus is earned on top of the base +3/day Resonance rate for the duration of the job.
First come, first served
Submission order alone determines position. The number of circles In Resonance or Fragment count confers no queue advantage — larger holders are rewarded through price discounts, not through priority.
- Queue sorted by submission date only
- One active request per wallet at a time
- The creator retains the right to suspend or reject any individual request
Weekly slot budget — 37 slots
Each option consumes a number of slots proportional to the production time it actually requires. One slot is roughly 30 minutes of hand-animation work, so a weekly budget of 37 slots corresponds to about 18 hours of production per week.
Fast Track
Any holder with an active request in the queue may pay a Fast Track supplement to move immediately to the front. The supplement goes entirely to the community treasury — not to the creator — and the one-per-cycle limit prevents wealthy wallets from permanently bypassing the queue.
| Supplement | 70% of the total request price |
| Destination | 100% to the community treasury |
| Limit | 1 per wallet per 37-day cycle |
| Effect | Immediate promotion to head of queue |
The fine print, in advance
Floor drop protection
If the floor drops more than 20% between the request and the delivery, the creator's 37% share is secured and maintained. The treasury's 63% share is refunded to the holder up to the amount of the loss, capped at 20%.
Sale before delivery
Work is always delivered once paid, with no exceptions and no reassignment. If the holder lists or sells their circle during production, the modification follows the token. The new owner receives the completed work at their own risk — all active requests are public on the site.
"In Production" image
While a job is active, the token displays an "In Production" image in its metadata (visible on OpenSea etc.), managed via the Worker/KV with no contract modification required. This serves as a public signal that the circle is undergoing transformation.
Anti-manipulation
- Listing a circle In Resonance immediately destroys all Fragments and resets Resonance
- New circles priced above floor (200% / 300%) — no arbitrage possible
- Full payment required before any work begins
Price lock & floor movements
- General principle: the price is locked at the moment of payment. A rising market does not affect an order already placed.
- Major exception: if the floor drops by more than 20% before delivery, Floor Drop Protection applies and the holder is refunded the 63% treasury share. The creator's 37% share stays locked and guaranteed.
Where every request goes
Fast Track supplements flow 100% into the community treasury. Every 37 days, Convergence splits treasury revenue between the untouchable reserve and the pool put to the vote.
Convergence vote options — the 70% pool
Eligible holders — 37 days of continuous Resonance minimum — vote during Convergence on the allocation. One wallet, one vote, whatever the number of circles held.
This is a two-tier vote, running in parallel over the same cycle. First, holders pick one of the four options below. Separately, holders also vote for a candidate collection — but that second vote is only activated if Redistribution wins the first one. If another option wins, the collection vote is recorded but not acted on that cycle.
| Redistribution | Purchase of a community-chosen external NFT collection and distribution to holders ranked by Fragment count. The rarest pieces go to the highest Fragment holders. |
| Buyback | Repurchase VIRTC on the secondary market to support the floor |
| Collab / Event | Budget allocated to project visibility and partnerships |
| Reserve | Carry the funds over to the next cycle |
The 30% fixed reserve can never be touched by the community vote. It is the safety net for floor support via buyback when it is needed.
